Apple iPhone 4th Generation Photos Leak?
iResQ, an iPhone repair site, posted pictures of what they claim to be the faceplate of Apple’s upcoming 4th generation iPhone smartphone. According to them, the front panel of the iPhone 4G will be .25″ taller than that of the iPhone 3GS. With the larger front panel will also come a slightly larger screen, but no measurements are listed.
They also note a “reflective, mirror-like surface” right above the earspeaker. While no concrete explanation is given, iResQ speculates that it’s just the proximity sensor.
Another note worth mentioning is that it appears the LCD display is factory glued to the digitizer, which would be a throwback to the first generation iPhone. This would make screen repairs more complex and expensive because of the need to replace two parts instead of just one.
Besides the above comments, no other reference to any other aspects of the alleged iPhone 4G is mentioned.
