Sprint Unveils Capped Data Plans for Devices

Tired of your measly 5GB per month on Verizon and AT&T? How about 6GB, for the same price?

If that grabs your attention, Sprint has a deal for you. The carrier added four new data tiers on Monday, with additional data usage for the same price as its competitors. The new tiers include 6GB of data per month for $49.99 and 12GB for $79.99.

In addition, Sprint added two device-centric data plans: a 3GB per month plan for tablets and hotspots for $34.99; and a 1GB per month plan for tablets only at $19.99 per month.

The bad news, however, is that Sprint dropped its unlimited 4G broadband plan in October. Until then, Sprint had offered three separate mobile broadband plans: 3GB of 3G data with unlimited 4G data; 5GB of 3G data and unlimited 4G; and 10GB of 3G and unlimited 4G.
