The disclosures were part of a report from The Verge, which claimed to have worked with developers and others with access to the software's Technical Preview.

Microsoft disclosed the existence of the Office 15 Technical Preview in January, but declined to provide details. Microsoft has also announced that there will be a public beta of Office 15 released this summer.

Microsoft hasn't revealed official release dates for either Windows 8 or Office 15, although the two are expected to be released within the same timeframe. Microsoft, however, has pushed Windows 8 into the public discourse with the release of the Consumer Preview of Windows 8 (pictured).
